My name is Athanasios Tsapanoglou and I live in Voula, Greece.My academic background includes a BSc in Computer Studies, a MSc in Distributed Systems and Networks (with distinction) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Strathclyde. After the submission of my thesis for the MSc in Distributed Systems and Networks, I published a conference paper with title “Fuzzy Tuned Gossip Algorithms in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks“, at the 17th IEEE Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 2009 (MED’09). Moreover, I have obtained various certifications and I have attended several technical, business and humanity sessions in the form of seminars, events and e-learning services. In 2012, I was certified as an SAP SCM Solution Consultant in SAP ECC 6.0 EHP6 and, in 2013, as an SAP HANA Support Associate.

Since 2003, I work in the information technology industry and, since 2005, I’m involved in consulting projects. Currently, I work as Project Manager at a software solutions provider. My key focus areas include: project management, customer engagement and identification of new business opportunities.

Being always actively involved in sports activities, in 2010, I started practicing the martial art of Aikidō, following the teaching of Christian Tissier Shihan (8th Dan Aikikai). In May, 2015 I was awarded the rank of Nidan Aikikai (second-degree black belt), by Christian Tissier. Apart from my regular training and seminars of Christian Tissier, I have participated in numerous seminars and training sessions (both in Greece and abroad) from various instructors, including Seishiro Endo, Donovan Waite, Patrick Bénézi, Pascal Guillemin, Bruno Gonzalez, Marc Bachraty and Fabrice Croizé [instructors listed based on Dan grade].

In addition, I’m practicing the martial art of Wadō-Ryū Karate, following the teaching of Tatsuo Suzuki Hanshi (8th Dan), of the Wado International Karate-Do Federation (WIKF).
