    Blog upgrade

Today, I upgraded BlogEngine.NET from version 1.4.5 to 1.6. In addition, I moved the blog database from VistaDB to SQLite using the respective ADO.NET provider, which was downloaded from here.

For the upgrade, I followed the instructions provided on Al Nyveld’s post.

    syndication.axd causes server error on BlogEngine.NET 1.4.5

While trying to check my website’s RSS feed, I received the following error:

    Server Error in ‘/blog’ Application.

Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
    Parameter name: utcDate

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
    Parameter name: utcDate

This error can also occur from any RSS related link that points to syndication.axd. This is probably due to the fact the deployment was made on a server with assemblies compiled on a machine that had the clock time bigger than the server’s. One solution is to try to recompile the application on a machine that has the time smaller than the deployment server time.
